We are proud to announce our inaugural NCHRF Research Week:
21 September - 1 October 2026.
NCHRF Research Week will showcase groundbreaking research and community projects supported by the Foundation and offer opportunities for health professionals to learn from world leaders in health and medical research.
Over more than 25 years, NCHRF has provided grants for South Australian health and medical research, invested in, and promoted initiatives for better health outcomes in northern communities, and partnered with local communities, health groups and organisations to ensure impactful delivery of services and programs.
In that time, the Foundation has delivered over 100 programs and events, hosted 20 Visiting Professors and contributed to seeding over $10.6 million in research funds, leading to new knowledge with national impact on the health of Australians.
2026 Visiting Professor Program

A highlight of the NCHRF Research Week program will be the visit by 2026 Visiting Professor, global expert in dental public health and humanitarian action, Professor Emilio Nuzzolese.
Professor Nuzzolese is the co-founder of Solidarity Dentistry for Infants and Handicapped and founder and President of the Association for Forensic Odontology and Human Rights. His work is known around the world through his leading role at the Human Identification and Forensic Odontology Research Laboratory at the University of Turin, which provides forensic odontology services on a pro bono basis, both onsite and remotely.
Research impact: showcasing real outcomes and hopes for better health in the future
NCHRF Research Week is also a rare opportunity for the Foundation to provide the wider community with updates on our flagship projects. We will be showcasing current and recent projects and initiatives delivering real change in Adelaide’s northern communities and beyond.
NCHRF Giving Week will match donations for flagship projects and programs
Coinciding with NCHRF Research Week will be a special fundraising campaign, through which NCHRF will match donations received for key research projects tackling complex health issues impacting health and wellbeing. Many of these issues are challenging communities and individuals right across Australia. Donors participating in Giving Week will see their impact doubled through matched funding from NCHRF and have the opportunity to support flagship research and community initiatives that can deliver lasting positive impacts. Full details of the Giving Week projects will be made available shortly.
