NCHRF is proud to have officially reached a significant milestone of 25 years supporting research and health community projects in South Australia.
We had the honour of celebrating 25 years with a special event at Government House. Her Excellency, the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia hosted, and acknowledged the commitment and dedication of those leading and supporting the Foundation.
The 2023 Derek Frewin Early Career Researcher Award, which represents part of our ongoing support of researchers across their careers, was presented to Jessica Stanhope, while the celebration cake was ceremoniously cut by Foundation Life Members Mr David White, Mr Frank Agostino, Mr John White and Emeritus Professor Derek Frewin AO.
Across the last quarter century, the Foundation has awarded $1.3 million in grants, and we are proud to report that these investments in research helped to seed a further $10 million in research funding and national research outcomes.
We have hosted 18 visiting professors from around the world, who have also contributed generously to the education of medical and health professionals, and we have delivered over 100 programs and events dedicated to improving community health outcomes.
As we take time to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we also wish to acknowledge and thank our Foundation Board Members, Life Members and Partners, and Adelaide’s northern communities, to whom we dedicate the work of this Foundation.
